HI,
I just started looking for a job in Saudi, Middle East or elsewhere, anyone know if it's too late to get a Fall position with a Master's in ESL?
I see lots of recruiters but I'm not sure how they work or their fee? Some are saying free.
I have absolutely know desire to "hunt for apartments" in a country I know nothing about plus buying furniture etc... for a 1 or 2 year stay? Should I only consider "housing provided"?
I'm seeing where the posts are saying 55 years and younger. Is 55 years the cut off?
Thanks for any help. |

You're rather late; the better, direct-hire positions have mostly been filled for a September start date. See The skinny on direct-hire university opportunities. However, there are always contracting companies looking for teachers year round. (Recruiters are paid by the schools/clients for their services, so there's no cost to applicants.) So check the job boards for openings that match your qualifications and requirement for employer-provided housing.
As for age, you didn't state yours, but some recruiters won't consider applicants in their mid-50s and above. Additionally, be aware that the Saudi government does not recognize degrees that included any online coursework. |
