I'm 38.

I previoulsy worked at a uni, BC and Xiamen Airlines.

I took on a new job as a "content creator", in Shanghai, for a new company.

I teach about six hours/week. The rest are in the office. It's dull.

My manager is a bit of an authoritarian, ie. be at work at 9, leave at 6 no earlier, etc.

Today he said he was "pampering me".

I would like to walk, find a job with more freedom (I get 22000 with this one).

I'm more used to uni teaching lifestyle, with a few side gigs thrown in.

Maybe you could network into a QC position for a western company? I met a couple former teachers who had done so. They seemed happy in terms of salary, independence and being under the direction of remote Western management.
