| Are there any proxy servers active that allow Dave's to function? I'll be back in a few weeks and Dave's worked last year when there in Jeddah but now that I hear it is blocked I'm wondering if any free proxy servers work? |

Yes, but only Dave's Saudi section is blocked in Saudi.
Yes... there are lots of proxies, but I don't think we should mention any names here. I think that those who know of some good ones should send you the links by PM.

Hello all,
I'm looking to go over to the KSA, was hoping someone could PM some info about proxies/ VPNs. I'm from the UK, at present I tend to steam some series etc from netflix or the net.
This is something I was hoping to do once i'm over in KSA just to pass time s you do  |

StrongVPN is good, that's what I used when I was in Saudi Arabia. Really you only need VPN to get around the market internet blocking from places like Amazon etc. I mean the Saudis aren't going to track you down.  |

| Does not seem to matter. Here I am in Saudi reading the Saudi forums with impunity. Also, Internet connection seems good enough to stream Netflix without any problems. |

I repeat... did you note the date of that post? It was Aug 18, 2011
It was blocked for awhile in 2011, but just as mysteriously as it was blocked... it was unblocked.
The mysterious Middle East...

Yes, VS, I did note the date on the thread before posting. I was merely updating those who might be interested since nothing else was mentioned about the Saudi forum being blocked or not after your post from '11. And the proxy/Netflix post is quite recent.  |
