Given the places that QEHC hires for, I think there is a good chance of being hired and quickly culled, that is if you even hear back from them at all after you get your acceptance email from them. There are some institutions in the KSA where it is better not to get hired for in the first place. This is even for the desperate. Those willing to take lower pay, because presumably "in a year I will still come out with this much money". Even with that outlook there are some places that it is best to avoid.

Anyone know any other recruiters, or are they the only one?

There's this ad: http://www.eslcafe.com/joblist/index.cgi?read=41476

However, your best bet may be to apply to positions you're qualified for but state in your email and cover letters that you're willing to work via a business/work visit visa. There may be a contracting company open to sponsoring you. Just be prepared to explain why you want this visa type.

The visit visa phenomenon might indeed help older teachers carry on a lot longer. Also, if you are 65 do you want iqamas and all that stuff? Better to see yourself as a short term contract worker paid for his time and what he does. Easy to come and easy to get out. No invasive medicals. Salaries usually paid directly into banks back home.

I'm not sure why you find that option distasteful. There's nothing wrong with contacting recruiters/companies to ask about working via a business/work visit visa since that's what you're seeking.

This is so helpful, thank you. This is like the best of what online forums can provide for newbies. I (and I'm sure others) really appreciate all of this detailed & specific info. Congrats also, happy that you are enjoying your current situation. Sounds like you have a lot to offer your students. No doubt they are happy too.
