| Can anyone tell me if a background check is required for Shanghai? If so what type (national, local). I ask as an old misdemeanor is posing as a problem! Thanks for any help you can provide. |

| There have been some changes to the work visa process that are to take affect soon throughout China. Nothing has surfaced yet about needing any extensive background check, but perhaps consider checking with HR for the company you want to work for first before applying. |
