Hi,
I am an English teacher with 3 years of experience teaching in public schools in Spain. I would like to teach in Lima beginning in June 2017 and I am looking for the best options to do this. I found a program that is called ESL starter. They offer $850 a month (40 hours a week) and roundtrip airfare after I complete a 150 hour training course and pay them 300 pounds. Would you consider this an offer worth exploring? Are there any teachers currently working in Lima or somewhere in Peru that could provide some insight. Appreciate any help.
Thanks again!

Hello Amgrant8,

Myself and my girlfriend are currently teaching in Lima, We arrived in January. We both did CELTA in Buenos Aires in September 2016 and have been traveling/working since.

I found work in Lima while we were still in Chile, I conducted the interviews over Skype. My girlfriend arrived without a job...but she had three within a fortnight, she has since been hired full-time in a bilingual high school.

On average we each earn 800 euro a month.

So for your option of paying 300 pounds and getting airfare and a guaranteed job paying 850 dollars.... That sounds amazing.. almost and I hope not but too good to be true. If its legit then go for it. The flight alone would be a minimum of 800 euro.

Will they help with a working visa?

Good luck hope it all works out
