Should you put down employment in the UAE from 20 years ago when applying for a university position in the UAE?
The experience was a fiasco and almost every teacher left except like one and the replacements of the replacements left because it was actually a dangerous place, physically, from the students. Obviously, the description did not match the job.
Will that show up on any UAE background checks or paperwork?
Thanks |

As long as you have a new passport, it shouldn't show up... IMHO
or
Does the employer still exist? If they are long gone, you are probably OK to mention them.
or
Was it a contract with the government? That might add a wild card.

If you think you need it to get the job, consider putting it down. But I doubt most employers will care because it was so long ago. |

It was a contract and the company no longer exists,
BUT....
It was with the MOE.
I mean, this place was a nightmare, I'm sure the schools still exist but with a different contract.
So put it down, because it WILL show up on the background check?
OR don't put it down and take a risk?? (just say it was so long ago??) |

I agree with VS; you're on a different passport. However, it seems you mainly want to leave that old job off your CV because it was a "nightmare." Then use your best judgment since no one here knows your teaching history including how long you were at the job and if you left before finishing your contract with that now-defunct company. (You apparently weren't employed directly with the MOE.)
Anyway, if you put it on your CV or mention it in your cover letter, be prepared to talk about it if asked during an interview. |

What if it's still a mare?
This time round you'll be paying a year's rent up front.
Just sayin'. |
