They have a new ad up and the pay is up to 9k USD a month

But can you stand the military like atmosphere

I know one guy who worked there and he said he lasted 2 years... after that, it was all downhill

9k a year and I could last quite a bit. Likely not more than 2 years though.

It is a weird setup but as an observer I would not say "military". For that you have to see some of the real military set#ups like Vinnell, BAe or the National Guard.

Sorry, a little off topic, but:

I've worked on several "military" contracts in Iran, KSA and the UAE.
Overall was a good experience.* The positive aspects were great salary, housing, and pretty good support from local officers and admin, (usually retired US/UK officers). In addition, there were never any problems getting a proper visa in a timely manner.

All these contracts were with the local Air Forces, so maybe they recruit a
higher standard of students.

I would think ARAMCO would also be selective in their recruitment.

*A big turkey, a ham, a fruitcake, and a jar of peanut butter at Thanksgiving and Christmas in Iran. As funny as that sounds, it was areal morale booster, especially since peanut butter was hard to find and more expensive that caviar.
A big four bedroom house on a new compound on the sea with pools, tennis/squash courts, full gymnasium, and beach compound with "chalets" and boats. KSA.
Good housing, UAE.

Aramco is one of the best gigs on the planet and I say that as an experienced ESP tech/oil and gas English instructor doing a similar gig on similar pay. A good pal of mine is there and loves it-digital classrooms and all.
