Can anybody estimate what I should charge the school as a finder's fee for finding another foreign teacher?

Are there any links I can use as precedents for this fee?

MOD EDIT

In a public university, one doesn't charge the school a finder's fee. If the school asks you to recruit someone, what you will normally get is what a recruiter gets: one month's salary that the hiree would be paid.

I don't think there is a set 'fee'. If they have asked you to assist in finding a new teacher then it is up to you to negotiate on that. As Bud said around one months salary is usual.

Just be mindful though that if you do recruit one and he/she becomes unhappy for whatever reason, he/she will be knocking at your door with the grievances and blaming you. Is that something you would want the potential trouble with later?

I wouldn't recommend anyone ever again unless it was someone that I know very well. If the arrangement goes south, you may not be blamed, but your boss will certainly think differently of you.
