It happened last year as well. And it is nothing to do with Ramadan. Ramadan usually means you get paid earlier, not later.

The economic situation is bad. There isn't enough money. Contractors to the government (not just in the education sector) are getting less money and they are getting it later. Given that nobody has ever got to grips with the concept if cash flow, this causes significant problems - many companies don't have enough money to pay staff. They rarely have enough will to pay staff either.

oh it explains why one agent is advertising a teaching post ( salary 7500 Rs= 2000 USD) pm? but even a teacher accepted 2000 USD pm, would s/he get paid? that would be the question Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Saudi Arabia has plenty of money, national assets and foreign reserves, and monthly millions of $$ from interests from internal, gulf, regional and foreign investment, not to forget to mention year-round profit from Pilgrim business, but all they need to do is budgeting. Unfortunately, when it comes to pay salaries to expats, it is always the last priority for Saudis.

If Saudis didn't pay salaries to expats, expats become stranded, with expired iqama/work licence, then Saudi interior ministry in connection with labor Dept would detain and deport stranded expats without salaries, so that violating saudi citizens/sponsors/employers can hire new and innocent expat to abuse again.

Would you leave the country without salaries?

Hundreds of thousands of starnded expats wanted/ would want to leave the country without their salaries, but that is hardly an option. Because saudis always have to create some violations on those expats to justify the reason for not paying salaries. It is always non-Saudis' fault if salaries are not paid Laughing Laughing Laughing
