If so, what are you going to do? |

My UK work colleagues who've been long-term in the Czech Rep are mostly getting citizenship or at last permanent residency. Seems like a reasonable course of action if you're committed to the country and intend to stay. |

There is a rumour that there will be some kind of buy-in clause for EU citizenship available for Brits. Let's see what happens.. |

There GOES the neighborhood? I thought you believed the neighborhood had gone a long time ago... |

Well actually, yes, you're right. 2 more of my long-term pals are leaving and 2 left last year.
Poz hourly rates are still between 40 and 60/hour. Haven't gone up in years. They were 40 in 1995. Empik charge business clients 100/hour. Compete with Empik.
Re Brexit, I'm married to a Pole, so will be fine. Won't bother me. However, the thought of ever working there again makes me laugh out loud. Maybe when I'm really old and need to keep busy for 2 hours a day and need beer money.
Got a house, a flat and buying a second and will have no mortgages by the end of 2017. Not bad for mid 40s.
Would have had zilch if I'd stayed (working) in Poland except a lifetime of debt. |

I was initially worried. At the moment, though, it looks like the issue of EU citizens in UK and vice versa should be sorted quite some time before the final Brexit deal, so if a year from now my future status and rights are not certain, I'll apply for citizenship. In the meantime, I'm going to get on with my life. |
