I have applied for several of the online teaching jobs advertised on this site over the last few weeks.
I haven't had a reply from any of the companies at all.
I live in the UK. Have any others had this problem?
Or is it maybe the settings on my email account that are causing the problem?

This is not a very busy time for a lot of places. Have you tried applying for schools in China and Korea? They seem to be hiring a lot right now. I work for an online school that hires from time to time, but it can often take a while to hear back as they generally bring on teachers in groups, not one by one.

I've started teaching on an app but there doesn't appear to be great money in it .The Wiley Chinese students like to shop around for a bargain. I'm thinking of trying some Korean apps if anyone has any suggestions ?

Could be they're worried about the time zone difference.

I did wonder that, it is why I asked the question on here to see if others in the UK have the same problem?
If it is the problem, it would be nice to just get a reply from them, but so far, nothing, and that's from about six different companies!

Brian, do your qualifications match those that are asked for by the companies you are applying to? That is the most common reason for non-response. (As you probably already know, just thought it worth a mention!) Another thought: is your CV well presented, letter perfect, and organized so that your suitability for the job is evident at a glance? Cover letter specific to the job in question, not generic?

.

Thanks for all of your information and tips.
I applied to Cambly and was signed up within hours, so all sorted now.

Any others on there?

I would keep looking, Cambly is rubbish. You´ll see. Have you applied at Open English? Or OE Junior? Here is an extensive list:

Six schools is not very many.
