Hi,
I've been contacted by one of these colleges in Manisa. I know Manisa isn't a popular place for foreign teachers to live/teach.
Is this salary still around 3000TL? That sounds very low for a private school (people in public teaching jobs get this pay or more) |

I worked at the school in Alanya. The owners were really unprofessional, for instance not paying for 3 months. I taught English and for the most part the kids could care less. They knew how to say "go back to your Country" quite nicely in English.
I think the married couple supervisors I worked under are gone, but they lied about everything. One by one the English teachers got fired. The morale was horrid.
The Turkish teachers were aloud to smack the kids (literally) but as an English teacher the kids could complain if you tried to stop them from sniffing glue.
And the best fun was the after school meetings which were hours long spoken only in Turkish but English teachers required to go.
