I read most of the related thread to find out how you can notarize documents before take them to the California Secretary of State. But seemed like no one had issues about notarizing their documents.
The Notary Public says "CA Notary law requires the person who signed the documents should be present to notarize it". And since the diploma, No criminal report, and the transcript don't require my signature on them she can't notarize.
The school in China is requiring all the original documents with the stamp from Notary. Has anyone from CA done this process?
Did you get the stamp on the original Diploma?

FYI: US notaries public affirm the identity of the individual signing the document as well as witness him/her actually sign it. In other words, the notary validates the authenticity of the person's signature.

I did, but in another state and not for employment in China.
State requirements can vary. In your case, contact the registrar's office at the Cali university you graduated from and ask what's needed to have an original copy of your diploma validated and notarized by the registrar for employment in China. (Sometimes the process is stated on the university's website.) You'll then take your notarized diploma to the CA State Notary's office for their certificate of authenticity.

I check the University's website. They didn't explain it but got an e-mail address where I can send the inquiry. We'll see what happens. I was very close to look into other countries with more lenient visa restriction if there's any.haha  Thanks again for the idea. |

| The notary or you just write that you attest that it is your original/photocopy of your original diploma. Then you sign. The notary can then affirm you signed the document. |
