I did a module in designing assessments (after which I had to produce a working paper describing my own application of the theory) as a part of my MA at Birmingham some years back.
I followed it up by designing and piloting assessments for one university and for an international worker recruitment agency.
It's interesting, but I wouldn't like to spend a great deal of my time doing assessments. |

Thanks I already spend a lot of my time doing assessments, so I'm reaching the point where I feel I should be doing it better.
I've found that module at Birmingham now, thanks! It looks like it can only be taken as part of an MA, but I can check that with them. I think I probably need something a bit more advanced, but it's still really helpful to see what else is out there. |

Yeah, I agree that Lancaster looks like a higher-level course. I'll be interested in what direction you ultimately go - I have colleagues who may have a personal interest in such quals. |
