China has acquired a very bad reputation in the EFL industry. In fact, many online teachers even avoid Chinese online jobs.
Are there any reputable Chinese employers? |

Do your research before you come. If possible, work somewhere with an employer with a proven track record with foreigners. I have a fantastic job here. Most have been good or reasonable. But I have lots of experience and good quals, so can be picky. Not sure China is worse than anywhere else. Lots of choices here. It’s a huge country, not easy, lots of challenges - means lots of opportunities for those who are wise and willing to work hard and smart. |
