This forum has been super quiet, but I find myself possibly on tje move from Colombia soon. Does anyone have any information or at least know where I can find it? I don't think Peru would be a ling term gig for me... a year max until I can return to Colombia.
With that in mind I am open to volunteer work in Peru. |

Maybe kind of a late reply, but what kind of information are you looking for? Things haven't changed too much in Peru as far as finding jobs. Lots of demand for English teachers, probably a lot like Colombia. I never lived in Colombia but I think the main difference is that in Columbia you have to find a job pretty quick. In Peru you can stay as a tourist a long time. Even at the university they just hired me on my tourist visa. |

There are quite a few jobs in Colombia coming up in the mid-sized towns (Manizales, Pereira, Ibague, Popayan) that would allow you to save $200-$300 a month while live a comfortable life.
It's quite easy and quick to get a working VISA in Colombia as well.
Wouldn't be able to live in Medellin/Bogota/Cartagena on the wages they pay there though. |
