I came to Thailand in August for the first time and now find myself seeking new employment, as mentioned in my other post. I am 59 and will be 60 in January. I love teaching and do not want, nor can, retire at this point. Are Thais open enough to hire teachers my age? I considered Vietnam but they say 60 is the retirement age. I continue sending resumes. Anything else I can do?

There are older teachers throughout the region, well Myanmar, Thailand, Laos and Vietnam, often at these "international schools" that you already have some experience with, according to your other post.

In Thailand though, you also have universities. I'd be contacting them but as you know it's the middle of the term. You may find an opening though.

You could also teach online but in Thailand. that may be a bit risky. Ultimately, you might want to look beyond Thailand.

You can get legal work (with a non-b and work permit) in a private school or language center even if you are over 60.
It may not be possible to legally work in a government school due to OEBC policy issues (but this is changing due to the shortage of qualified teachers to fill roles vacated by retiring and departing teachers (there is a teacher shortage)).
