I'm a U.S. citizen with an MSEd (TESOL), 6 years' full-time EFL teaching experience at the university level in Japan, and 10 solo publications & 1 shared authorship in not-great journals.

What kind of university work and what kind of working conditions could I expect in Bangkok? I love city life and I prioritize urban environment over the academic level of the university.

Thanks!

There are about 33 unis listed here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_universities_in_Bangkok

It doesn't seem to list those in the suburbs such as Thonburi across the river.

A number of them have 'international programs' with the curriculum taught in English. I'm guessing you may get 65k baht, around 2,000 USD per month or a bit more. Not really sure though.

Best to contact some places you are interested in and ask them directly or see if they provide any info on their website.

In my experience you will probably find something without much trouble in a university language center (like CULI)
but
are unlikely to find full time work as a guest lecturer in regular or international programs at most universities. Those positions often require an ABD or PhD/EdD.
.
When you do find full time uni work (without a PhD) the pay is typically crap - 15-18 class hours per week and 32-35k baht. PART TIME work on the other hand can pay well if you have the connections to get the job (I was getting b1500 per class hour).
