So I actually went for it and here I am.

A one way ticket worked for me and the only thing needed to enter was to fill out the same declaration card that would be filled out for another country. You should be prepared to write the address of where you will be staying so pick a hostel or hotel from a guide and write that down. Its in English so no problem.

We are going through training and the food is really great here in Beijing. I will keep you all posted as to what transpires !

Most commonly you will hear, "Welcome you to China!"
