I have to decide which job to take, and am struggling to know what to do for the best. Any advice on Guangzhou and Shayang would be most appreciated as I now have to make a decision and book flight.

is "Shayang" in the PR of China? Honestly, I don't know such a place...
As for Guangzhou, what exactly do you need to know? It's in every guidebook on China. In a nutshell: it's a bustling, dirty, hot and busy metropolis of 7 million inhabitants in the subtropics, 150 kms north of Hong Kong, about same latitude as Bangkok, Cairo. |

| A city called Shayang lies in Hubei Province; otherwise, I am equally in the dark. It depends on the person. Choose between an isolated area and a busy, crowded metropolis. Sorry to be unable to provide more help. |
