I used to think Germany was the biggest dump on Earth. As well as having no laughs whatsoever, the shops are closed 21 hours a day and you can be imprisoned (or put in the army) for hanging your washing incorrectly on a Sunday. But how I long for Germany now. Yes, the women were miserable, but at least the bars of Germany had some women to look at.
Now, here there are bars with wall to wall men. I am mocked by local acquaintances for not doing business with ladies of the night. For the first time in years I have to cook because this country has the worst excuse for food in the entire world. In three months, Ive eaten so many chips/fries that Ill be dead before long before 40. Apart from that, its OK.
1. Guess my terrible country.
2. Add a similar tale of your worst country inviting others to guess it. |

Good one!
Are you in South London?
Israel was my worst country ever. I've never met (& worked for) so many truly awful, rude, tight, aggressive people.
The scenery was pretty though. |

For me its got to be Cyprus,I mean the Greek side ,I had the misfortune to work for one of those many ,many ,many (get the picture) moons ago .It was difficult to decide who was the worst of the two him or that bitch of a wife he had ,naa, she was the worst .
Went over there for a visit about 10 years ago I still wake up in a sweat coz I nearly married one of them ,boy that was a close call .
No wonder the Turks want nothing to do with them !!!! |

As a Londoner meself, you're 'avin a laugh.
South London is a paradise compared to this dustbowl armpit of the world! You wanna swap? If not, at least send some pies. |

1. Are you by any chance in Casablanca, Hod? I saw your other post in the Africa forum -- hilarious, even though I've never been there.
2. Happy to say, I've never really been anywhere all that bad! I can see why some would consider China quite the hellhole, but it's really not that bad. Aside from the general weirdness / insanity of it all, which you eventually get used to.
Here's some advice, wherever you are: beer helps! |

Where I am four out of five cars have a Bush/Cheney bumper sticker. The LDS church is a major player although the fundie churches are still the arbiters of political power. Chuck-o-Rama packs 'em in so as the clientel can pack it in. This place has towns such as Atlanta and Dixie and is sometimes known as the Sagebrush Confederacy. Aside from its internationally famous agricultural crop, it's most well known for neo-Nazis.
On the plus side the fishing and hunting are good.
Daily, I make plans for getting out of here. |

Congratulations to antyp who wins dinner with Hod at a Casablanca restaurant of his choosing or a year's supply of chips/fries. |

I was going to say Salt Lake City, but you are obviously in Idaho- home of everything white- potatoes and fundamentalists.
Run, very fast, to the far left of the map. Seattle is the cure you need. Then, get out of that paranoia infested cesspool of a country.
This advice comes free from a fellow citizen of the Evil Empire. |

Moroccan cooking is superb; you're clearly going to the wrong restaurants. |

Hod,
It really sounds like you're missing out on many of the good things about Casablanca. Which part of the city do you live in?
Moroccan food ranks amongst some of the tastiest in the world and there is such a variety of restaurants available in Casa. The only problem I ever have food wise there is when I try to get a decent steak medium rare or rare. PM me and I'll tell you where to go for good meals |
