I was wandering if anyone has any advise for me please regarding the following. I have a dilemma where the company I want to go with can not give me the location I want (nor are the options that attractive to me). Location transfers are not permitted. However, I could probably get the location I want with a company that is not as desirable to me. Both location and company are equally important to me - which one should I choose over? Thank you!! |

Sounds like you need a third option. Seriously. If you don't have what you want, keep looking. No sense in getting stuck in the right location with a bad job unless there are tons of other opportunities in that area.
You haven't really given us much to go on. What do you mean by "not desirable"? |

when I say not as desirable they are are smaller in size than what I was hoping. I want to live in Tokyo or Osaka where there seem to be more things to do that interest me, plus I have friends that live in those cities. |

I think you should go where you have friends. I prefer Osaka to Tokyo.
Tokyo is just too big.
Some people are in small towns and they spend a lot of money going to places on the weekends, and it really adds up. My girlfriend lives in Osaka and I go to see her once or twice a month. The shinkansen is not cheap.
