Yeah, doesn't this sound a little racist to you, Taylor? A little insensitive to one man's avatar representing a sense of hope and aspiration that should otherwise make us scorn Aristotle for using? Or is it Aristotle you want to scorn, despite this avatar?
I rather think that Guevara fellar is a handsome, and brave, man, a good poke in our conscience as lackluster, lecherous "let-me-have-it all" Taco-bell-two timers filling our belly's with GM corn we pass off to them Mexicans as our hybrid-handshake!
I'd like to go to Yellowstone or something, hear the wolves. Passed by a couple of times, but couldn't hear their call. Maybe it was because Guevara was around, Sitting Bull too. |

Perhaps if you'd have read these forums a little longer, you'd understand why some have issues with the user called "Aristotle." He has, for a long time, posted stuff here that often borders on paranoia. He posts these so-called official work advisories that have very little to do with real threats. He advertises his secret society frequently on this site. This society does not represent the majority of teachers in Taiwan, nor even a signifigant minority. It consists of little more than this Aristotle individual and his computer spreading fear and misinformation. His advice is frequently dated, incorrect or illegal. Some here have realised this and challenged him to support some of what he has said. He has not done so. Based on this, some people have and do criticize Aristotle and his ideas. |

I must concur with markholmes that A.K.A.T.D.N. seems truly barking mad, makes Aristotle seem like a novice. And what the hell was Taylor's original point, did he think none of us were familiar with Che Guevera? Was he trying to make some self -congratulatory, albeit ultimately pointless political statement? Which reminds me, if anyone is interested, check the Guardian archives website;
www.guardian.co.uk/fromthearchive/
this week marked the anniversary of Guevera's execution and there's an article written from a reporter on the scene in 1967. |

Dear Ziggy,
You wrote:"did (Taylor) think none of us were familiar with Che Guevera?" Where did you get this freaking idea, Ziggy?
My original post said: "Just thought some of you might be curious..." I presume you know the difference between none and some.
Don't tell me that every 22-year old Caucasian teaching English in Taiwan knows all about Che Guevera!!!!!!!!! As far as my political statement goes, here it is: I don't even give a rat's arse about who is gonna win the Bogus 2004 US presidential election. I just want the lying blood-suckers to leave us alone and quit wasting money killing Iraqis. Gosh, I am starting to sound like AKATDN....I think he is rubbing off on me...AAAAGGGGHHH.

Yes, you are beginning to sound like AKATDN and I think you would have been better not to post anymore responses at all, as your original post was a little ropey anyway and you seem to be picking on someone who already gets picked on a fair amount anyway, which is fair enough inside a post, but is not really on to start a separate thread. Somebody might misinterpret you as a bully, which I think a barking mad person has already done.
I think you know who I am talking about. Don't add fuel.
Hey, I'm up to 100 |

Hey, well. . .you know that in all due respect what you say about Aristotle is not just an extension of your alter-ego either, is it?!
Seems the guy's pricking you, picking at your sense of self-justifying claims to call all others "newbies" and to also call others "barking mad" who dispute a Che Guevara approach to the lawless letters of subjectivity you write and call 'Our Guide to Taiwan' by posting such statements that paranoia of being offended by "a secret society" is making you, in return, protect as a sort of subjective, secret society yourself?
Sounds paranoid to me.
Then again, Aristotle doesn't know me, and he you, and you me and me Aristotle but I get the feeling that a recluse Che Guevara is like someone sitting in a death-row corner by the window, dreaming of freedom of fact-fattened fields outside, objective fences with barbed wire making them just newbies, nearsighted nomads within the confines of a conspiracy of cause and effect?! |

I think it's official; A.K.A.T.D.N. and Taylor are both either mad, retarded, a combination thereof, or the same person. Or just a couple of American dummies with their cowboy hats on too tight?
Forthwith, please leave Aristotle alone, you two take the cake. |

Err, This is my first time on the Taiwan forum. Is there anybody here who could translate the above into human speak for me. I don't mean the individual letters, I recognise those, and the words. I mean the larger syntactical units; the sentences and paragraphs and such.
If it's poetry then I apologise in advance for not recognising it as such. It is 7.45 Tues a.m. and I last went to bed Saturday night 'cept for around 3 hrs or so yesterday afternoon. |
