Has anyone done the "exchange program" at Ray English Club in Saitama. Supposedly you get a free room in exchange for 12 hrs of teaching a week. Is it legit? |

I spoke to the guy who owns the house, over the phone, about a month ago and he was pretty unfriendly. But that doesn't mean it's necessarily a sham. Would just like to find out. |

I have seen that ad a few times and then ignored it. The first time I spent about 30 seconds multiplying 48 (minimum hours per calendar month) x 2500 (minimum Yen per hour for teaching at most eikaiwa) = 120,000 Yen per month for a ROOM in a house in Saitama (not the most expensive locale in Japan). Like I said, I have seen that ad a few times............... |
