I am planing on teaching English in Japan this coming year and I wanted to know when the best time of year is for getting a job. I do realize that jobs are available all year, but there must be a time when there are more available.
When does the school year begin and end?
When do most schools hire to fill all their positions?
And if there is anything else you think is of importance please let me know.
Thanks

Are you talking about private language conversation schools e.g. NOVA and GEOS or regular high schools in Japan?
The big language schools recruit several times a year but i believe the next intake for NOVA will be Feb-March next year. People are coming and going all the time at conversation schools but regular high schools they hire teachers 3-4 months before school term begins. |
