I'm heading to Dalian in a couple of weeks and going thru an agency called Pioneer English anyone have any info on them? |

Don't know them, but the usual advice applies here: be very very very wary of agencies. DL has a huge job market, you should be able to find a job without an agency. Unfortunately DL also has more than its share of disrepeutable schools, so try first with the unis and colleges. Railway Institute was looking for someone, last I heard. Good luck. |

So you wouldn't reccomend that I go through an agency? If I just shop around schools will they still offer airfare, accomodation etc...? |

Yes.
And they don't have to pay 1000 or more RMB to the recruiter. Knowing how to bargain with an incredible amount of hassle, I do it myself. Feel free to ask for amenities as well, but qualifications and experiences will make them more receptive. Remember, on the whole, China is a foreign teachers' market, not an English school manager's market (in terms of negotiating power). |

I dont think it is true everywhere, the more easy choices like Shanghai or Suzhou, seem to have plenty of teachers having and wanting work, but it seems that the more repurable the school is the more fussy it can be in their demands.
I am running a school in Suzhou and I am finding some teachers dont want to work particularly hard , what ever the money. |

So how do I find schools that are hiring without going through an agency? I havn't seen anything on the net and in china I can't read chinese so how will I find the schools without an agency? |
