Walked many miles here. Probably 30 miles a day. Sounds self-indulgent, but I wonder about these scooter-buddies.

They come and go. I don't care, but don't like the smell. My usual routine is to go underground and take the easy malls. It makes me feel less hurried nad more relaxed.

Right to downtown. Now I shake a little, due to earthquakes. How would I survive?! I watch the people and think how easy it is to get trapped, trampled. Their clods are ringing in my ears as they clmb the network of exits and passageways. Before I worked on the 12th floor, but I lost that job. THe boss had no earthquake etiquette, almost as if an earthquake was not part of the business ethic. I thought how much my life meant back then.

Therefore, I'm here, in a snug and small room far away from the bludgeonings of blocks from buildings. I think of spiders, and how they always precurse a flood, or a quake, or a nervous twitch. Lately I haven' tseen any. I did see a big whitish-mottled spider clinging to the hallway walls. I almost grabbed it, thinking it was a light. They usually know the safest place, and don' mind the Easy Malls except for the shaking of feet, scooters squashing them, and us.
