Gordon,

I don't mind not telling you about my life since you and I aren't really all that close, are we.

It must really bother you that I know more about you and your school and job than you know about me.

LOL!!

No, but since you won't say, we can assume what we want about you. Now that is funny.

Paul,

Working hard on that thesis, aren't you. Does Brimingham give extra credit for your moderating and hanging out at Dave's? Doesn't sound very academic.

Gordon,

You know what they say about those who 'assume' LOL!! And I'd say it about sums you up correctly.

Isn't that sweet, Paul and Gordon are internet friends!

I guess you both have a lot in common.

Yes we both have university jobs and are working on degrees.

Like peas in a pod.

I can see you can't appreciate good comedy when you come across it. Three Stooges eat your heart out. Wink

After reading 7 pages of this I take back my comment in regards to your venomous posts PaulH. Ricepaddydaddy hasn't shown so much as a lightning bugs buttock in brightness in his debate, so feel free to snap away.

Dear Gordon,

How does an underqualified person like yourself get a university position with 'professors' pay in Japan?

Your situation contradicts what Paul has been posting on this board for ages regarding university teaching in Japan.

... well, it doesn't only happen in Japan. I was an unemployed agricultural labourer on holiday in Poland and I was offered a job teaching teachers at Warsaw University. I agree that a degree helps, but sometimes even people who don't have a basic education can get work ateaching at a university.
