|
|
Hi,
Does anyone have any suggestions for cheap, short term (ie. one night) accomodation in Tokyo? Preferably in the Shinjuku or Ikebukuro area. Not fussed whether this is Ryokan, hotel, whatever, and would be for 2 people.
Thanks for any suggestions!! |

If you are really stuck for cash there is a 24 hour internet cafe with nice comfy seats in shibuya with a cheap (about 1000 yen) all night deal. Its just over HMV records. |

If it is only for one night, the cheapest option would be a capsule hotel (around 3000 yen( |

Next up from there would a be business hotel for 6000 yen. Though, I did hear of a guesthouse for 2000 yen but have no idea where it is.
If you are going to be out and don't need a room, depending on the season, you could sleep beneath the stars at Yogogi Park.
Best to pick up a Metropolis and locate something that way, rather than hiking around hoping to find something. You can pick up a copy at the Kirin City between Shinjuku station and Kabukicho.
So, it goes bivouac in the park, internet/comic book shop, guesthouse(if you can find it), capsule, business hotel.
Again, if you are going to be out late, you'd be surprised how reasonable a Love Hotel can be, depending on which one you go to.
Whatever you do, enjoy yourselves. |
