I am thinking of working in Krakow in the fall. How easy is it to find work there as an EFL teacher ? I have a degree and a CELTA, and some experience teaching. How feasible is it to just go to Krakow and look for work once I'm there ? How long should I expect to look before finding work ? What would be an acceptable salary ?
Thanks in advance for any feedback. |

Hi there,
The biggest problem with just coming to Poland to look for work is that you MUST go back to your home country to get your initial work visa. I don't know of any schools that are decent enough that would forgo this requirement--legally employing you. It is done, but the authorities are starting to crack down.
Krakow is also pretty competitive. However, because you have a degree, the CELTA and some experience, that should help greatly. Many schools have found people to work for them for the fall however, so it's best if you try to find something right now on the internet.
Good luck!
