Me and Tim are old buddies!

No. All I know is they are also offering me a position at Jiaozuo University (they had advertised for 3). Considering it's prepaid airfare I figure no worries.

They gave me the phone number of a foreign teacher there. I haven't called yet. Contact me if you want his number or just ask Tim.

I agree with ya, no air fare no teacher, but the job still seems kind of cool though. I sent the contract yesterday but no answer yet. they got my address to mail me the tickets and invitation letter for the visa so thats a step in the right direction. I also requested that I get two days off a week and they revised the contract accordingly. I would assume whom ever gets the job they wil be living together at the uni. I'm sure having the teachers number wouldn't hurt, is it an english teacher? We should keep each other updated on things that way no one gets screwed, know what I'm say'n?

Since your other post says you have no degree, how can you get a work visa?

To get issued a work visa, the Chinese consulate doesn't require evidence of a degree from you. But the school will need to fake one for you in order to get the foreign experts certificate issued.

that what i've been hearing. This uni. has written that I work 16 hours a week, if they stick to that I'll be amazed but its a place to start. most jobs from what I've seen are between 20- 25 upwards.

20-25 hours is for private language institutes. Every uni I've seen advertising is under 20 hours, most between 14-18.
