i dont have a tv here at my place but i do have internet. is there any sites where i can watch the japanese news or tv shows so that i can learn my japanese and pick up more vocab?? i have been d/l movies but would also like to see what is there on tv as well. any suggestions?

not sure about tv but most media players now have internet radio on them and its free. i know theres a couple japanese stations

would be great if anyone knew sites that broadcast J-TV. I miss it now that I am back in California. I'd love to get to watch London Hearts again!

The website's media player didn't actually work for me, but if you look at the page source in notepad you can find all the japanese channels and manually paste them into the URL bar and they'll open in media player. Excellent find, thank you much, SHO.

thanx for the info. works great. does anyone have any other ideas on how i can learn japanese?? ive been studying the book i bought and have a teacher but i want to learn other vocab and more conversational/ casual/ informal japanese and slang. and is there a dictionary out there that is romanji to english??

Just make Japanese friends. Honestly, that's the best you can do. Everything I learned, I learned from a Japanese friend. A textbook is great - if you want to sound proper. Just hang with Japanese friends and you'll learn slang. Maybe they want to practice English with you, you can trade off languages.

damn, thanx bro, its nice to have someone other than myself recommend my website. how did you hear about it. (im speaking of trancefuel). anyways, i'm glad your getting some use out of it. Its been constatntly growing and lately I have been getting tired of putting so many hours into it, with having no one to shar eit with. So now that its becoming more affective to viewers I hope you all benefit from it and spread the word.

To the guy that wants to learn japanese, check out my site (trancefuel.com) and the language section. This is the best you will find in all one place. I have quiz software for testing your katakana hiragana and kanji, as well as all the handouts i had for my japanese 101 class. I am actualy writing a book detailed abotu my class of japanaese 101 i took in summer. It was basically 22 days, and I took detailed notes every day and wrote about 4-5 pages after each class section. And at the end of the class you basically had enough knowledge of the language to practice and learn on your own from that point, not to mention read and write in japanese with the expcetion of kanji.

i will hopefully post a free version of the book on the website, until i find a publihsing house to publish it. ANYONE HAVE experience with this, publishing your own book? I really dont care who publishes it, it would just be nice to have a published book. haah, but it is gonna be a damn good book. haha.
