Does anyone know about jobs through IEF Foundation? Reputable?
Any recommendations (or warnings) for any type/level of school in Dalian? |

I am working for Talenty school in Dalian. They suck. My situation is good, as long as I ignore the extra-cirricular "issues."
Worked for New Century. Not so bad. But management sucks.
Don't know Future school well. But haven't heard many bad things.
Beautiful city though. I recommend it. |

Seems like I've not heard all good things about IEF but don't have enough memory to be sure.
I DO know bad things about AES/Future. Not the worst to work for but not the best either...certainly not the bastion of decency they were some years ago. Watch your paycheck, and your back, very carefully there.
Some of the universities in Dalian are good to work for but the pay tends to be abysmal.
Hope you find something good...Dalian is one of the most delightful cities in China!
Regards,

I'm at AES now, i'm sure they're not the best nor worst outfit in the TEFL land but if you don't want to work weekends, have no clue about your holiday schedule, get virtually NO bonus (they mask their 'bonus' to pay mainly your airfare) then AES may not be the place for you....
Dalian is a beautiful city. I go for morning walks along the beach/coastline and am back for lunch in 20 mins by bus! |
