Does anyone have any input regarding the Shanghai Institute for Foreign Trade? I was offered a job by this school, but am unfamiliar with them. If anyone has anything to say let me know. Thanks

Henry

I don't have an answer to your question.

Instead I'm wondering if you could possibly make your avatar just a little bigger ... I can still see some text to the right of my screen.

Colleen,
Goodness you are the astute observer. I was just working on shrinking the photo, but since your request was disingenuous I would rather leave it like it is. Don't come on here to pick a fight.

Best,
Henry

Henry,

justcolleen's "disingenuous" request was actually pretty nice by comparison to a lot of stuff you'll find on Dave's. Honestly, your avatar is a pain in the ass, please shrink/change it.

Maybe if you're really not looking for a fight, then you'll avoid telling someone who has been here a lot longer than you how to use the forum.

Good luck in your job search.

G'head. It's your inquiry that will get deleted, not mine.

Oh, now stop yourself. That's not necessary. Just fix the d@mned avatar and move on.

I was wondering if either Colleen or Dr. K noticed that the other is also form Michigan...

Not much going on in detroit these days (save the occassional Kwami Fitzpatrick gang-bang related controversy), but Graps....now that is one fine city! Lots of cool religious freaks who believe an afterlife of hellfire and brimestone awaits if they spend any money or engage in sexual behavior for reasons other than procreation.

Dan
I didn't notice that Colleen is from Michigan until you mentioned it. I was too busy mourning Jay Van Andel's untimely passing, while saving every last penny I earn at a job that denies me any life chances or social mobility whatsoever. Those of you who are familiar with this town would agree that the Graps ethic- don't accept government handouts, rely only on yourself, and take comfort in knowing that God will deal with your neighbor accordingly- maintains the status quo of Dutch conservative hegemony and leaves no room for those Godless heathens who engage in sexual intercourse purely for reasons of pleasure. Again, remember to always put yourself before the greater good.

I did, and for a minute I pondered giving him driving directions.

"Not much"? Not even! Kwami-shwami, there's always something going on. The public schools have reached the point where all of the coal buring stoves have been removed. Now that should be newsworthy. And Detroit showed just what happens when a basketball game gets a little frustrating. Now, keep in mind these are the same folks who typically celebrate a Deeetroit Piston's victory with a good ol' fashioned bon-fire, burning up to four blocks per win.

Graps, on the other hand, such debauchery would never be allowed to menace that fine community.....

Colleen,
Graps doesn't even allow dancing, let alone basketball or minorities to hold office. And as for directions, I don't need them - I was in the Detroit area on Tuesday and all I did was follow the smell of Lake Erie. There is something fascinating about the place, however, particularly the Trenton/Monroe area. Probably because they are both relics from the American manufacturing epoch. God Bless that Liberal bastion.
