There are a few teachers here that live and work in Hangzhou, so someone may be able to help you. But, honestly, your school should be doing inquiries for you and/or will help you to find a place once you arrive. Perhaps they will have to put you up in a hotel for a week or two while doing the search. What about furniture? bedding? dishes? etc. Most schools that provide housing provide these things as well. Good luck! |

carol: Where in HZ will you be working? Are you familiar with the city? Do you know what part of town you'd like to live in? I assume you're looking for a furnished place, right?

Hi Kev, thank you for your reply. Yes, my school is going to 'help' me find an apartment, but they do not PROVIDE the apartment.
Since I am not familiar with Hangzhou in detail, I am hoping my fellow foreign teachers might be able to recommend some areas more than others. OR, who knows, maybe a teacher is vacating their apartment at the same time. OR, maybe someone has connections.
It never hurts to ask, I hope!! |
