...and Im a bit nervous!
Its going to be a one-to-one lesson with an Intermediate adult. The last topics he covered were Simple Past tense, "too + adjective" and "adjective + enough".
Ive got one and a half hours with him and of course I need to make a good impression on him AND my employer!
Im going to go over verb tenses and conditionals with him. Ive got some materials so should be able to fill the time with them and some conversation, but Im wondering if any of you have any ideas how to do it particularly well?
Any advice appreciated!

verb tenses and conditionals are very big topics. why not narrow this down to one or two different grammatical items, which can be used during your conversation? you can focus the conversation on topics that will need the structures you 'go over.' |

I would suggest first finding some natural conversation topics...stuff you can steer. Make a list of all the grammar functions that come out, or are prevalent, then whittle down the topics so you stay focussed on those points.
You'll make the best impression on both the employer and the student by listening, rather than teaching. Only correct the targets, and let the student communicate. |
