No it will become merely one of the poorest EU countries, dominated by the dominant about what they can and can not do and it will frustrate many Turks, who as we know have a strong local identity, when they are told they must change this and that about their precious culture. No, look at Greece. Is it flourishing in the EU? no. If Turkey had a few smart dogs, it would become a global competitor in its own right. It has the capacity to do so if only the right paws are on the pulse. Too many things have to change, why should they? We all love those little things that are certainly not EU acceptable. That's one of the reasons why we are here. Also, Europe needs to get ready for Turkey, never mind Turkey getting ready for the EU. How many of your peoples back home have a misconstrued idea of Turks and Turkey? (2pworth)
LOOK at the BBC news website, their comments and the jonny dymond reports. very interesting!!!! |

I'm sure this is a stupid question, but is the EU more like the USA or Canada (single central govt sort of equally distribuing funds etc) or like NAFTA? or like the UK? in which case, what good does england do Oz, anyway? |
