...and probably a lot sooner than the rest of us. Some of you seemed to think that smoking is Ok on an earlier thread. You're wrong. It sucks ass. To prove my point, I suggest you visit www.deathclock.com to find out how long your measly lives will drag on before your ultimate cancerous end comes.

Enjoy Twisted Evil

We all have to die, horribly or not. How we live is more important.

Quite right, so why anyone would want to make such a fool of themselves by smoking beggars belief.

Ask yourself if you've got anything better to do than read a post written by someone who got anything better to do than pester people they've never met about when they're going to die. Well?

I was actually hoping the end of that sentence would be "...but do you have to take the rest of us with you?"

I don't tend to nag smokers, and yeah, what you want to do with your body is your business. However, I have to admit I find it unfair that I am constantly forced in this country to inhale second-hand smoke, which is actually more dangerous than first-hand, when I don't myself choose to engage in the dubious pleasure of inhaling carcinogenic substances into my already fairly weak lungs. In my workspace, in taxis, in restaurants, in the street, when I go out with friends, hell, even in my own living room.

So yeah, call me nosy or boring. Just don't expect me to be greatful for the pleasure of having bitter, tar-filled smoke that makes me cough and choke wafted in my face. I think I have every right to wave my hand in front of me and frown when it happens.

In the meantime, merry Christmas, eh?

Thanks Bron, I think you put it more eloquently than I copuld have. I often wonder why the Dolmus is a non-smoking vehicle, apart from the driver who is allowed to puff away as he likes. I mean, as if the smoke is confined to his part of the vehicle.

I came here to get away from liberal tree hugging Aunties Let me smoke in peace you can always get on a nonsmoking flight and leave. This is the land of Smoke. Turks gave smoking to the World and Turkish tobacco is one of the best there is so please leave us this small patch of the earth to die as we want.

You're probably more likely to get run over on your way to work (especially in this country) so why don't we all start running around the streets dodging taxis while we're at it.

Come to think, the *driving* in the dolmuşes is probably about ten times more dangerous than the smoking driver, ya. Wink

Hey, I'm still here 'cause the goods outweigh the bads. The constant cigarette smoke is definitely a "bad," but it's not enough to make me want to leave.
