I am comming over in a month and really need to know what do people think nowadays.
Where to start?
TAIWAN OR CHINA - lifestyle, money, job opportunities

I don't think you can make much money in China. You can in Taiwan.
Jobs are plentiful (usually) here. It does seem harder and harder to get a job as time goes by, just in general posts have gone down and schools have gotten pickier.
From what I understand, Taiwan also offers a better (though more expensive) quality of life. I've never been to China but have known people who have, and have looked for jobs there myself (not finding anything that pays enough...).
I think that it is possible to make a fair bit of money there since you can save so much more and often get housing, but nothing compared to what you make here. Maybe it depends what your priorities are. |

One of the important questions to ask is 'where am I most likely to be given what has been promised to me?' Taiwan is certainly not perfect in this regard but I guess the odds are better than in China. |
