I have been fortunate to have seen some of the world and am fascinated by the people outside my borders. I plan to obtain a TEFL certificate in 2006 (maybe sooner) and teach in Mexico. Dave's Cafe is a reservoir of helpful information and a great place to make contact with those already in the field. I look forward to sharing my own experiences with you all in the not to distant future. Thanks!

Howdy Chris,
I too love Dave's ESL Cafe - I have way too much free time at my office job, and I have virtually considered almost everywhere 'round the globe, daydreaming and reading web pages.

Anyway, I'm in Austin, too, so I thought I would definitely chat with you... are you a UT student?

My contract at this job (a non-profit on Lamar) ends in August, so I thought that would be a good time to jump ship. I plan to move away in August or September, 2005.

I admit that my destination seems to change monthly - I'll come home and announce "I'm moving to Argentina" one week, and then the next, "I'm moving to the hills of Bohemia" the next... but I think that Mexico is going to stick, for real. Wink

Anyway, Hi. Cool

-Deborah
