Hi,
I am going to be in Taiwan (or possibly Hong Kong depending on the response I receive from these posts among other things) in February (4th Feb - 4th Mar) in between teaching jobs elsewhere. It would be great if I could earn a bit of cash during this time and would be most grateful if anybody reading this could forward me details of any contacts, websites, addresses, etc. that could be of some use. Primarily, I will be looking for teaching work (I've taught in about a dozen countries and hold a degree), however should there be any other opportunities - entertainment, research, office, agricultural, caring...anything - I'd really appreciate the info. Although I do need the money if there is any peace based group that needs volunteers for that month I'd be interested in that too. But no pet rescue projects please as I'm not good with animals. Thanks for reading, I appreciate that this is a bit random but I thought its best to cast my net as widely as possible. I hope one of you lovely people can give me a lead in the right direction.
Happy 2005,
Mandi |

If you want to make a nice little bit of cash in a month or two teaching English, try Japan.
Private tutoring for business clients in a major metropolitan area. Take out a bilingual ad in the local paper.
Put together a nice package of reference letters and pad your resume a bit. Dress the part and do your homework.
Enter on a tourist visa, and have a letter of agreement drawn up asking for the first payment in advance.
Live in a hostel and chalk up the hours. You would be amazed at how much you could make.
Good luck,
A. |
