Yeah, it is the Chemistry. I loved Gz the minute I got there many moons ago. Don't like Shenzhen either Roger. Love the fab island of Xiamen to bits but am in Chongqing at the moment. Not a happy bunny.
Where did I make a wrong turning? |

Chongqing is pretty grey man. You seem to have a thing for humungously large concrete cities eh, mr Al?
Btw, good thing about Guangdong is that you can pick up Cantonese there. I think it sounds way funkier than Mandarin.
But don't worry, if you don't like a place, there's plenty of other places around. You'll know if you like it or not pretty soon after arrival.

Btw, other nice places might be: Beijing, Guilin, Chengdu, Kunming, Suzhou, Hangzhou, Harbin (nice place really if you can bear the cold). |
