I am currently working for GEOS and have a 1 year working visa. I don't plan on renewing, but want to stay in the country and find a better position. How can I renew my visa without company sponsorship? What is my best course of action? Thanks for any pointers or even links to information pages. |

You need a sponsor / employer to renew a work visa. If you can string together some PT work that immigration recognizes as valid (as opposed to giving private lessons), and if the total earnings fall in the range they want you to have to support yourself (there is no clear figure on this), your visa status is still good, although it is erroneously called self-sponsorship. |
