FGT, apparently there are 3 matches on Kanal Turk this weekend. I believe one of them will be Southampton vs Portsmouth but i'm not sure. You can check their website at www.kanalturk.com.tr, but they only show the current day's TV listings.
DMB, I think that using these adopted sons of Scottish football could give the game a shot in the arm, improve the national teams standing (putting them back above Burkina Faso in the FIFA rankings) and create more interest in the youths of the nation. |

Don't rub it in.
Ok, so we have talked about beer and football. I'm sure there is another topıc we usually talk about. Now if only I could remember. |

I don't understand, you mean there are other things to talk about apart from football and beer?
That FIFA ranking must be a load of cr-p anyway; how on earth can Burkina Faso be only one place above Scotland?
I seem to remember some mention of 'men's' products such as razors, but that was many beers ago ( a standard unit for measuring time in the male universe). Anyway, this is much more exciting than that ridiculous 'questions for women' thread they have going. I wonder what they write about... |

Here's a deep and meaningful question for a Friday afternoon...
Why do we press harder on a remote control when we know the battery is dead? |

| I just read that thread. Unbelievably, there appears to be no mention of beer or sport of any kind. |

Why don't you try to explain the offside rule on that thread |

I'd rather try and explain every single function of articles in the English language, truth be told.
Did you hear that the Welsh FA have proposed to change the law so that a player can only be offside if they're in the penalty area? FIFA, aparently, are so enamoured of this idea that they're going to test it out in the Welsh league next season. |

My brother-in-law recently bought a 1986 Porsche 944, but doesn't have anywhere to park it and so has had to borrow the space in our apartment building. More importantly, he is more than willing to let me drive it whenever I want. I'm not into cars that much BUT this is a 1980s Porsche and is unbelievably cool, especially when I play the theme from Miami Vice at full blast while cruising down the Sahil Yolu on the Asian side.
PS - I'm not joking, I really do get to listen to the Miami Vice theme while driving an old-school Porsche, and EVERYONE stares at me. |
