Hi guys,
I wonder what do you do for your last classes with a particular group or level.
Does anyone have any interesting activities or games that could help??

Talk to each student for a few minutes to find out what they liked, didn't like, wanted to learn that they didn't, etc. It'll do wonders for your teaching next semester.

Pub - ok maybe with adults, but with 14 - 16 year olds?? maybe not.

Talk to each student - yes, I am planning to give them a questionnaire to give their own feedback on the course.

Any other ideas?

How about doing some fun activities?? Like taking them out for a field trip, or going to the local park to play some ball games (that one even works with adults, surprisingly...)
It does kinda depend on how long you've been teaching the kids, and what level they're at... But with kids, games or something fun is definitely the best way...

How about a Teacher Roast activity? Let all the students prepare short skits doing their best (or worst) interpretations of their teacher.

In my experience, last classes generally like to have what they call a party. They all bring snacks, sit around, take pics and relax. It depends on what the setting of the class is but I would say it is a good idea to plan some sort of activity none the less.

Somethings that come to mind would be Bingo, Charades, Pictionary, etc. Oh yeah, another good one is Jeopardy based on a timely topic.

Last Class Ideas:

Trash the tables.
Steal the markers.
Tell student everything you've taught them was wrong.
Tell students what you REALLY think of them.

I usually give them a class on the words they WILL NOT use. I explain that they have words in their own language they wouldn't use in front of their mothers. They need to know the English words that could brand them as crude or lower class.

After all they'll hear them in movies and on the street! I base it on the 'Seven words you can't say on TV' which also get zapped out at Dave's. I did clear it with the administration first.

For the last class I teach them what they all secretly want to know: how to use English curse words well. For this I use a beautiful text by Sterling Johnson called English As a Second F*cking Language. It is hilarious as well as informative.

I mean have you noticed how EFL students use, when they dare, these grand English words that some of the giants of English literature, like Oscar Wilde and Samuel Taylor Coleridge were proud of? I mean these students bulldoze the language, start giggling and run out in terror for God�s sake. It�s genocide of jargon, calamity of cursing, slaying of swear, foreplay with four letter words!!! WHAT ARE WE TO DO?! How do we teach them the grand old art of venting frustrations by giving it to the man, to the old lady, to the teacher, the DOS, fellow student, fellow forum member, grandma even, THE RIGHT WAY?... Er� refer to the first paragraph, please.
