hi, was just wondering what the laws are about unmarried couples living together in vietnam? would appreciate hearing about anyone's experiences regarding this. planning to go teaching in vietnam with my boyfriend, likely we'll encounter any problems with this in mind?
many thanks. |

Hi AmyJ
I foresee no problems whatsoever with you coming to Vietnam with your boyfriend. If you are Viet Kieu and so look Vietnamese then you might get a few bad looks but even then you should be fine.
Have a good one |

My "husband" and I have been in HCMC for 6 months - we are not married. We call each other husband and wife rather than try to explain common -law but have never had any problems. Even our school calls us husband and wife even tho are last names are not the same.
You shouldn't have any problems |
