If you have had any experience getting a replacement res. permit, please let me know how you went about it. I have just realized mine was missing while packing for an extended stay out of the country. My visa in my passport is 4 months expired and I can't afford the hefty fine that would present at the airport. This time in China, I never got a green book. Instead, I got a little insert thingy of a res. permit in my red book. That, worthless as it is, I still have. The one I desperately need was probably tossed away when cleaning out clutter from my desk.
If you can share any information on the possibility of getting a replacement as well as the time it takes to do so, I would be forever grateful. |

This is offered as your proof of English expertise? Watch your capitalization and comma usage, friend.
If you were not sarcastically making fun of my sloppy grammar, I am sorry. Yes I am an English teacher. The "insert thingy of a res. permit" was a two paged, thin papered insert I received inside of my expert certificate. |

I also did not get a green book this year in guangdong... I just got a little insert thingy, green in color that says" temporary residence permit" on the front page... Maybe this is what you got also???...
It takes between 1-3 days to get a new one issued, depending on your schools connections with the PSB...
Good luck,
Phil
P.S. The residence book is being phased out and replaced with a sticker in your passport that also serves as a multi-entry Z visa.... |
