Hi! I know this isn't on topic, but I have a question some of you all in Africa may be able to answer. My boyfriend has just been activated to be sent to the area of Djibouti (Camp Lemonier) I think in south Africa. They saw it is a "low risk" area, but I was wondering if this is a place to be worried about. Also I have looked online everywhere about what is going on in this area and have only found out stuff about Somilia. Any ideas, info, or websites will help. THANKS a bunch in advance! |

Hotbed for "freedom fighter" training but, when I was there I was lucky to meet only very nice ones.
Djibouti is a very strategic and tactical location for staging, conventional refueling, and access to the Persian Gulf from the Mediterranean.
That's northeast Africa. It is hard to find Djibouti on some maps but the CIA World Factbook link above will guide you easily to investigate the "official" statistics and map. |
