Hello,
Am planning to come over to Mexico at the beginning of April, and have a couple of questions...
Just wondering if anyone has any info on working in Leon. Anyone worked for Boston academy?
Also, have friends in Monterrey, and while I don't really want to work in there, was wondering if there are any nice places to work within 2 or 3 hours of monterrey??
Cheers |

No, I don't know anyone who has worked for the Boston Academy, but I lived and worked in Leon for nearly a year a few years ago and if I remember correctly, they are located smack in the middle of town, pretty handy actually... how did you hear about them? |

A friend of a friend is a student there. Where did you work in Leon and what did you think about the place itself?Any advice would be much appreciated, April seems to be coming around very quickly and still no firm plans.... |

I worked in a private school named Stratford Institute, there are two branches there. I also have a friend who is a/the coordinator at the Casa de Cultura, also located in the center of town.
I really liked Leon, as well as the whole Bajio area as you can easily travel to so many other colonial cities (Guanajuato, Queretaro, Irapuato, San Miguel de Allende, etc) and it's big enough to have everything you need there, but small enough that you dont feel overwhelmed.
I envy you for going there, I really miss that place! It grew on me, I met so many great people and miss them terribly! If I wasn't involved in a serious relationship here in Canada, I'd be back there in a blink!
PM me if you want... |

I'm also looking for a job in that area (in primary grades preferably). Let me know if you stumble across anything exciting! |
